How to build wind turbine tower and stand? not to be outside, but for test!!!?
Hey i am planning to build a wind turbine, but i do not know how to build the tower and the stand that holds it up. i was thinking to use a pipe flange and a pipe union with another pipe as the tower. However, i do not know what to do for the bottom part, how can i keep this thing upright? I tried searching online for some kind of stand, but no luck. Can someone give me some guidance?

Small residential wind turbines are typically mounted on a rohn tower, or on a single pipe tower, set in or mounted to a concrete slab. In either case, guys wires are also needed. Honeywell is coming out with a new type of wind turbine that is roof mounted, and is a lot more efficient than surrent residential models. See below link.
